FAQ

Answers to the most common questions about how Qrypt works.

General

What is Qrypt?

Qrypt is a payment processing platform that lets businesses accept crypto, card, and ACH bank transfer payments through shareable checkout links. We handle the conversion and settlement so you receive certified funds in your bank account.

Who is Qrypt for?

Qrypt is built for businesses that move high-ticket inventory — auto dealerships, jewelers, equipment resellers, art galleries, marine, real estate deposits, freelancers and consultants invoicing large amounts, and any merchant that wants a single tool to accept crypto alongside traditional payment methods.

Do I need any technical knowledge to use Qrypt?

No. The entire flow — onboarding, payment link creation, transaction monitoring, payouts — runs from the Dashboard with zero code. If you can fill in a form, you can use Qrypt.

Do I need a crypto wallet?

No. Qrypt converts every crypto payment to fiat on the backend before depositing it into your bank account. You never hold cryptocurrency, never need a wallet, and never have any volatility exposure.

Payments

What payment methods can I accept?

Three: crypto, card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay), and US bank ACH transfer. Each payment link is configured for one method.

Which currencies can I price in?

USD and CAD. ACH links must be in USD because ACH is US-domestic.

What does it cost?

Customer absorbs the fee at checkout. Each method has its own rate:

  • Crypto — 3.5% (plus your optional surcharge)
  • Card USD — 2.3% + $0.30
  • Card CAD — 1.8% + $0.30
  • ACH — $5.00 flat per transaction

For high-ticket sales, ACH is almost always the cheapest method for the customer. On a $50,000 sale, ACH costs $5; card costs roughly $1,150.

Which cryptocurrencies and chains are supported?

Customers can pay with stablecoins and major cryptocurrencies across a wide selection of chains, including Bitcoin, Solana, Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Avalanche. See Payment Links → Supported Cryptocurrencies for the current list.

Can my customer pay from any country?

Crypto payments work worldwide. Card payments work in 100+ countries. ACH requires the buyer to have a US bank account and pay in USD — but the merchant can be located anywhere Qrypt supports, so non-US dealerships can still accept ACH from US buyers. See Supported Countries.

What happens if a customer underpays or overpays a crypto invoice?

Each crypto payment generates a unique wallet address per transaction, so we can match it precisely. Underpayments are flagged in the Dashboard; overpayments are credited and visible in the transaction record.

Account & Settlement

How do I sign up?

Visit app.qryptpay.com and create an account with your email or Google. Verify your email, complete the KYB (Know Your Business) flow, link your payout bank account, and you're ready to create your first payment link.

How long does verification take?

Most merchants finish the KYB flow in under 10 minutes inside the dashboard. Approval typically arrives within 1–2 business days.

When do I get paid?

Payouts run on a regular cycle to your linked bank account once your account is verified. Each payout's status, amount, and arrival date is visible in the Payouts page.

Can I have multiple bank accounts?

Yes. You can manage payout destinations from Settings > Payout Account.

Is Qrypt secure?

Qrypt uses bank-level encryption for all financial connections, hashes session tokens server-side, and stores sensitive credentials encrypted at rest. We never store full card numbers — that's handled by our PCI-compliant payment processor.

Troubleshooting

Why is my "Create Payment Link" button disabled?

Either your business setup isn't finished (check for the "Setup required" banner on the Payment Links page) or one of the required fields is empty. Open Settings to finish onboarding if you see the banner.

Why can't I select CAD when I pick Bank Transfer?

ACH runs on the US banking rails and only handles USD. The payment link must be priced in USD and the customer needs a US bank account to authorize the transfer. (Your dealership can be in any Qrypt-supported country — only the buyer's bank has to be in the US.) If you need CAD or non-US payers, switch the payment method to Crypto or Card.

A customer says their card was declined — what do I do?

Card declines almost always happen at the issuing bank, not at Qrypt. Ask the customer to verify the card details and contact their bank to authorize the transaction. If the issue persists, send us the transaction ID at support@qryptpay.com and we'll investigate.

A crypto payment shows as pending — should I worry?

No. Crypto payments wait for on-chain confirmation before being marked successful. Confirmation time depends on the chain and network conditions — usually seconds on Solana and Base, longer on Bitcoin and Ethereum. The Dashboard updates in real time.
